Two days ago Winrumors.com reported, that a new Windows 8 build 7989 has been leaked and will be available for download from file hosters and torrents soon.

Beside these changelog details, there are other news. User MagicAndré1982 from german site WinVistaSide.de reported here, that Build 7989 contains Hyper-V. Hyper-V is known from Windows Server 2008 R2 for virtualization purposes. While Windows Virtual PC, which is available for Windows 7, doesn’t provide 64 bit support, Hyper-V does.

User MagicAndré1982 also recognized, that Microsoft uses a new extended virtual disk format (.vhdx files). Old .vhd files may be used also in Hyper-V. Beside the new .iso mount function, found in earlier builds, these are many new features that comes with Windows 8.
