Noch ein kurzer Nachtrag von dieser Woche. Im Nachgang zum Patchday (12. Feb.) hat Microsoft am 13. Februar 2019 noch diverse 'Security Update Releases'-Meldungen herausgebracht. Hier eine Übersicht.

Es handelt sich bei CVE-2018-8654 um eine Microsoft Dynamics 365 Elevation of Privilege-Schwachstelle.

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Server gibt es eine erhöhte Anzahl von Berechtigungsschwachstellen. Ein Angreifer, der diese Schwachstelle erfolgreich ausgenutzt hat, könnte versuchen, sich als ein anderer Benutzer des Dynamics-Servers auszugeben.

Um die Schwachstelle auszunutzen, müsste ein authentifizierter Angreifer eine speziell gestaltete Anfrage an einen betroffenen Server senden, um die Identität eines anderen Dynamics CRM-Benutzers zu erkennen.

Das Sicherheitsupdate behebt die Schwachstelle, indem es korrigiert, wie Microsoft Dynamics 365 Server Benutzereingaben validiert und bereinigt.

    Und immer noch keine nennenswerte Störungen durch die Updates des vergangenen Patchdays. Erstaunlich.

    • Herr IngoW sagt:

      Mal muss es ja auch ohne Probleme funktionieren, man hat ja auch noch was anderes zu tun.
      Aber es gibt ja Leute die direkt ja nach Problemen suchen oder nur einfach darauf warten.
