Microsoft 365: Multi-Factor Authentication am 28. Sept. 2021 gestört

Kleiner Nachtrag vom gestrigen 28. September 2021. An diesem Tag kam es wohl zu einer größeren Störung der Multi-Factor-Authentifizierung. Die Nutzer konnten sich nicht mehr an Microsoft 365 anmelden.

Ich hatte es am Rand auf Twitter mitbekommen, als ein Tweet die Störung ankündigte – inzwischen gibt es weitere Tweets zu dieser Störung. Es hieß, dass einige Nutzer sich nicht mehr an Microsoft 365 anmelden konnten. Es betraf Server, die sich mit ADFS und NPS zur Multifaktor-Authentifizierung verbinden wollten.

User Impact: On-premises users may be unable to access Microsoft 365 services due to being unable to log in through MFA.
Current status: We've identified 503 errors from specific processing components and we're reviewing these errors to identify the source.
Scope of impact: This issue could potentially affect any user if they leverage MFA and either Network Policy Server (NPS) or Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) to access Microsoft 365 services. This issue only affect on-premises users, and cloud hosted users are not affected.
