[English]Microsoft hat am 10. April 2018 verschiedene kumulative Updates für die unterstützten Windows 10 Builds freigegeben. Hier einige Details zu den jeweiligen Updates.

Eine Liste der Updates lässt sich auf dieser Microsoft-Webseite abrufen. Ich habe nachfolgend die Details herausgezogen.

Ab dem März 2018-Patchday hat Microsoft die Installationssperre mit dem Kompatibilitätszwang mit der installierten Antivirus-Lösung für Windows 10 aufgehoben. Der in früheren Updates sowie im Blogbeitrag Sicherheits-Updates für Windows 7/8.1 (13. März 2018) beschriebene Registrierungseintrag ist unter Windows 10 nicht mehr erforderlich.

Ein Teil dieser Updates für Windows 10 Version 1607 bis 1709 stehen auch als Delta-Update (siehe Windows 10: Was sind Delta-Updates?) für den WSUS zur Verfügung.

Updates für Windows 10 Version 1709

Für Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Version 1709) stehen verschiedene Updates zur Verfügung.

Update KB4093112 für Windows 10 Version 1709

Das kumulative Update KB4093112 für Windows 10 Version 1709 (Fall Creators Update) enthält Qualitätsverbesserungen und folgende Problembehebungen:

  • Provides support to control usage of Indirect Branch Prediction Barrier (IBPB) within some AMD processors (CPUs) for mitigating CVE-2017-5715, Spectre Variant 2 when switching from user context to kernel context (See AMD Architecture Guidelines around Indirect Branch Control and for more details). Follow instructions outlined in KB4073119 for Windows Client (IT Pro) guidance to enable usage of IBPB within some AMD processors (CPUs) for mitigating Spectre Variant 2 when switching from user context to kernel context.
  • Addresses an issue that causes an access violation in Internet Explorer when it runs on the Microsoft Application Virtualization platform.
  • Addresses an issue in Enterprise Mode related to redirects in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge.
  • Addresses an issue that generates an access violation on certain pages in Internet Explorer when it renders SVGs under a high load.
  • Addresses additional issues with updated time zone information.
  • Addresses an issue that might cause the App-V service to stop working on an RDS server that hosts many users.
  • Addresses an issue where user accounts are locked when applications are moved to a shared platform using App-V (e.g., XenApp 7.15+ with Windows Server 2016, where Kerberos authentication isn't available).
  • Addresses an issue with printing content generated by ActiveX in Internet Explorer.
  • Addresses an issue that causes document.execCommand("copy") to always return False in Internet Explorer.
  • Addresses an issue that, in some instances, prevents Internet Explorer from identifying custom controls.
  • Security updates to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Windows kpp platform and frameworks, Microsoft scripting engine, Windows graphics, Windows Server, Windows kernel, Windows datacenter networking, Windows wireless networking, Windows virtualization and Kernel, and Windows Hyper-V.

Update KB4093112 ändert die OS Build auf 16299.371. Das Update kommt über Windows Update, lässt sich aber auch über den Microsoft Update Catalog herunterladen.

Zu beachten ist, dass bei bei der Installation des Servicing Stack Updates (SSU KB4099989) und des kumulativen Updates (Live Cycle Update, LCU) über den Microsoft Update Catalog das SSU vor dem LCU installiert werden muss.

Bei diesem Update gibt es zur Zeit nur ein bekanntes Problem: Windows zeigt das Update fälschlich als nicht installiert an und meldet den Fehler 0x80070643. Eine Update-Suche oder die Abfrage der Build mit winver ergibt aber, dass das Update installiert wurde.

Update KB4099989 für Windows 10 Version 1709

Update KB4099989 ist ein Servicing Stack Update für für Windows 10 Version 1709, welches über Windows Update eingespielt wird. Das Update bringt laut Microsoft Stabilitätsverbesserungen für den Windows 10 Version 1709 Service-Stack. Nach der Installation ist ein Neustart erforderlich.

Update KB4099572  für Windows 10 Version 1709 Mobile

Update KB4099572 steht für Windows 10 Mobile bereit und hebt die OS-Build auf 15254.369. Das Update enthält alle Updates von KB4093107.

Updates für Windows 10 Version 1703

Für Windows 10 Creators Update (Version 1703) stehen verschiedene Updates zur Verfügung.

Das Paket wird über Windows Update ausgerollt, ist aber auch im Microsoft Update Catalog verfügbar. Probleme sind keine bekannt. Die OS-Build ändert sich zu 15063.1029.

Zu beachten ist, dass bei bei der Installation des Servicing Stack Updates (SSU KB4093432) und des kumulativen Updates (Live Cycle Update, LCU) über den Microsoft Update Catalog das SSU vor dem LCU installiert werden muss.

Jedes Gerät mit Windows 10, das so konfiguriert ist, dass es automatisch Updates von Windows Update erhält, einschließlich der Enterprise und Pro Edition, wird das neueste Windows 10 Feature Update basierend auf der Gerätekompatibilität und der Windows Update for Business Stundungsrichtlinie angeboten. Dies gilt nicht für Windows 10 LTSC-Systeme.

Update KB4093137 ist ein Servicing Stack Update für für Windows 10 Version 1607, welches über Windows Update eingespielt wird. Das Update bringt laut Microsoft Stabilitätsverbesserungen für den Windows 10 Service-Stack. Nach der Installation ist ein Neustart erforderlich.

Anmerkungen: Windows 10 Version 1607 erreicht zum 10. April 2018 das End of Life. Geräte mit Windows 10 Home oder Pro Editionen erhalten keine monatlichen Sicherheits- und Qualitätsupdates mehr. Nur Windows 10 Enterprise und Windows 10 Education Editionen erhalten sechs Monate zusätzlichen Service ohne Kosten. Geräte im Long-Term Servicing Channels (LTSC) werden bis Oktober 2026 mit Updates versorgt. Geräte mit Clovertrail-Chipsatz und Windows 10 Anniversary Update (v. 1607) werden bis Januar 2023 per Microsoft Update aktualisiert.

Updates für Windows 10 Version 1511

Für Windows 10 Enterprise und Windows 10 Education stehen für die Version 1511 ebenfalls verschiedene Updates zur Verfügung. Für die Version 1511 läuft damit die Versorgung mit Updates ebenfalls aus.

Update KB4093109  für Windows 10 Version 1511

Das kumulative Update KB44093109 für Windows 10 Version 1511 enthält folgende Problembehebungen:

  • Addresses additional issues with updated time zone information.
  • Addresses an issue that, in some instances, prevents Internet Explorer from identifying custom controls.
  • Security updates to Internet Explorer, Microsoft scripting engine, Windows RDP, Windows kernel, Windows IIS, Windows datacenter networking, Microsoft scripting engine, Microsoft Edge, Windows Hyper-V , and Windows virtualization and kernel.

Das Update steht über Windows Update bereit und hebt die OS-Build auf 10586.154. Das Update ist auch im Microsoft Update Catalog erhältlich.

Das kumulative Update KB4093111 für Windows 10 Version 1507 enthält folgende Problembehebungen:

  • Addresses an issue that generates an access violation on certain pages in Internet Explorer when it renders SVGs under a high load.
  • Addresses an issue with printing content generated by ActiveX in Internet Explorer.
  • Addresses additional issues with updated time zone information.
  • Addresses an issue where AppLocker publisher rules that are applied to MSI files don't match the files correctly.
  • Addresses an issue that prevents the system from booting when you enable LSA (lsass.exe) to run as a protected process by setting the "RunAsPPL" registry entry. Additionally, the Automatic Repair screen may appear.

    Hallo Günter,
    zu Windows 10 Version 1607 und EOL am 10. April 2018.
    Werden für die Pro Version wirklich keine Sicherheitsupdates mehr bereitgestellt, auch nicht über WSUS, bzw. vom Client installiert?
    Ich hatte es so verstanden, dass des keinen Service von Microsoft bei Problemen mehr gibt (Bugfixe/Quality rollup), Sicherheitslücken aber noch +6 Monate geschlossen werden.
    Die Seite von MS ist nicht wirklich hilfreich, da hier von Service, Wartungsupdates und Sicherheitsupdates etwas quer Beet geredet wird (oder ich bin noch nicht ganz wach).

      Home und Pro 18 Monate Support (security and quality updates)
      Enterprise und Education 24 Monate Support (security and quality updates)
      LTSC 10 Jahre Support (5 Jahre quality, 10 Jahre security updates)

      Auch die Updates manuell zu installieren, wird wahrscheinlich fehlschlagen, weil die SKU überprüft wird.

        Ich fürchte, dass dem so ist (gab hier im Blog die Bestätigung für Windows 10 RTM). Und es geht ja noch weiter: Für Windows 10 V1607 werden Updates für Systeme mit Clovertrail-Chipsatz bis 2023 angeboten, der Rest bekommt nach meiner Lesart nix mehr. So liegen die Nutzer Microsoft am Herzen – denn den Aufwand, die Patches erstellen zu müssen, hat Microsoft ja sowieso.

    Die SKU (4 – Enterprise, 125 – Enterprise LTSC) ist fix. Aber wie wird man wohl Windows 10 1607-Systemen den Clovertrail-Chipsatz "vorspielen" können, um auf dieser Build (14393) bis 2023 bleiben zu können…

    Nach der automatischen Installation der Updates vom 10. April 2018 für meinen PC funktioniert weder das Startmenü (oder wie auch immer das jetzt heißt) noch das Infocenter. Egal, ob Mausklick oder Tastenkombination mit Windoof-Taste.
    Deinstallieren und blocken von Updates brachte keine Lösung, es ließen sich nur zwei von vier (?) (kann man ja nicht wissen, wie viele es genau sind, womöglich wird mit jedem Update eine weitere Übersicht der installierten Updates neu hinzugefügt?).
    Windows 10 Version 1709 Build 16299.371

    Mal abgesehen davon, dass sich außerdem trotz kompletter Neuinstallation von Win 10 und vorläufigem Verzicht CCleaner und Antivirensoftware von Avira sowohl einige nützliche Apps wie auch der Appstore selber wieder ins Nirvana verabschiedet haben.

    Tja, jetzt wird Linux endgültig mein Freund. Schade um das Geld für die Spiele.

    Nach Updatedeinstallation lautet die Buildnummer nun 16299.125

    Seit Installation von KB4093119 haben wir unter AppV Anwendungen, bei denen in der userconfig.xml der StartProcess Teil ignoriert wird.
    Schlimmer noch, die Anwendungen, welche im Application Teil eingetragen sind, starten nicht mehr. Erst wenn man diese in "" setzt. Nur dann startet das Script nicht mehr.

    Hat einer ähnliches beobachtet?

    Wir haben das Problem auf allen Win10 mit 1607 und 1709, dass App-V nicht mehr funktioniert von einem App-V Server aus. Habe einen Call bei Microsoft eröffnet. die Deinstallation des Rollups funktioniert und dann läuft App-V wieder.

      Wir sind im Moment mit Microsoft in Kontakt. Aktuell haben wir einen Testpatch bekommen. Es scheint zu helfen. Doch der ist erst in einer frühen Testphase. Siehe den Link von Manuel.

    Vielleicht schaut noch jemand zu diesen Zeitpunkt auf diese Website die Kommentare an.
    Betrifft Windows 10 Update KB4093112
    Das Update wurde unter Updates und Sicherheit angezeigt. Es wurde aber nicht automatisch heruntergeladen und installiert. Die Installation musste per Button angestoßen werden. Danach habe ich den Neustart angestoßen, der nach längerer Zeit abbrach. Ein zweiter Versuch über den normalen Neustart hatte Erfolg. Es wird als installiert angezeigt. Aber in der Liste der installierten Updates ist es nicht aufgeführt. Die Update-Suche zeigt es auch nicht mehr an. Ist das Update installiert ohne Anzeige in der o.a.Liste?
