[English]Microsoft hat zum 3. September 2020 das Update KB4571744 für das Windows 10 Mai 2020 Update (Version 2004) freigegeben. Es handelt sich um ein Preview-Update, welches auch für Windows Server Version 2004 gilt.

Das betreffende Update war bereits im August 2020 an Windows Insider zum Testen verteilt worden (siehe Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.487 (20H2)). Wichtig: Ab Juli 2020 deaktivieren alle Windows Updates die RemoteFX vGPU-Funktion aufgrund der Sicherheitslücke CVE-2020-1036 (siehe auch KB4570006). Nach der Installation dieses Updates schlagen Versuche, virtuelle Maschinen (VM) zu starten, bei denen RemoteFX vGPU aktiviert ist, fehl. Dieses Feature wird nicht mehr unterstützt. Update KB4571744 für Windows 10 Version 2004
Update KB4571744 steht als Preview für das Windows 10 Mai 2020 Update (Version 2004) sowie für Windows Server Version 2004 zur Verfügung. Es hebt die OS-Build auf 19041.488 und enthält eine Menge Fehlerbehebungen, aber keine Sicherheitsfixes. Microsoft listet folgende Highlights auf:

Das Update ist optional und wird nur angeboten, wenn der Nutzer explizit in der Einstellungen-Seite nach Updates suchen lässt. Das Update lässt sich auch aus dem Microsoft Update Catalog herunterladen und installieren. Es ist aber darauf zu achten, dass das neueste Servicing Stack Update (SSU) installiert ist. Microsoft listet Schwierigkeiten mit dem Input Method Editor (IME) für die japanische oder chinesische Sprach als bekanntes Problem mit diesem Update auf.
Zudem hat Microsoft für Windows 10 V1903/1909 direkte Verbesserungen am Update Client vorgenommen, um dessen Zuverlässigkeit zu verbessern.

Bei mir wird es aber nicht bei einer Update Suche angezeigt. Ich sei da auf dem neuesten Stand.
Oh, ich sehe gerade, dass da nach der Suche dann doch eine Abteilung optionale Updates gibt.
Diese Abteilung zeigt mir zwar das Update an, dieses dort anzuwählen nützt allerdings auch nichts, die dann folgende Suche endet wiederum ergebnislos.
Du musst im Fenster "Optionale Updates" den Haken setzen und dann auf "Herunterladen und installieren" klicken ;)
Seltsam, als ich die Meldung hier vorhin gelesen habe, gleich mal auf Updates prüfen gedrückt, da kam dann ich wäre schon auf dem neuesten Stand. Dann vor 10 Minuten poppt auf einmal eine Meldung hoch, der Lappi möchte doch bitte rebooten, um Updates zu installieren. Wenn ja Bill Gates noch in dem Laden wäre, der könnte das Verhalten sicher erklären…
War bei mir jetzt ähnlich. Wie oben beschrieben schien es, als würde da nichts installiert und nichts gefunden, dann kam auch hier die Meldung, ein Neustart ist erforderlich und das Update ist installiert. Da kann die Kommunikation mit mir noch verbessert werden.
Da gibt es jetzt neuerdings ein Untermenü, welches durch einen Klick auf "Optionale Updates" erreichbar ist, dass dann erscheint wenn bei einer Updatesuche optionale Updates gefunden werden.
Ja, und wenn ich dieses optionale Update anwähle und es installieren lasse, dann geht das Windows-Update wieder in eine Suche mit dem Ergebnis, ich sei auf dem neuesten Stand.
Allerdings wird tatsächlich das Update heruntergeladen und installiert, nur sehe ich nichts davon, sondern erst dann, wenn ich zu einem Neustart aufgefordert werde. Das ist keine gute Kommunikation mit mir…
Hmm OK dann hattest du ein Anzeigeproblem. Bei mir war das normal bzw. sogar besser weil dieses Mal kein Neustart zwischen .net und dem Update nötig war.
Ach und das man Updates nicht sofort findet nachdem entsprechende News verbreitet wurden ist bei mir normal. Dieses Mal war es gleich da, beim letzten Mal aber, wie sonst auch, zum Beispiel erst Stunden später. Passiert mir allerdings immer nur bei optionalen Updates und selten bei Feature Upgrades.
Das Update wird mir als optional angeboten. Das aber die Framework Preview KB4570721 als nicht optionales Update herunter geladen und installiert wurde, wundert mich schon. KB4570721 hab ich auch gerade installiert bekommen auf win 10 2004 ohne grosses zu tun. auf einem 2. rechner findet er das update nicht.
langsam aber sicher nervt das update roulette von microsoft. optionale patches werden ohne zu tun installiert. andere patches werden nicht gefunden. ganz schlimm bei geräten, die von remote erreichbar sein sollten und beim booten aber bitlocker aktiv haben.
im übrigen das update keine 2 monate alt sondern wurde gestern erst released https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4570721/kb4570721-cumulative-update-for-net-framework
Habe jetzt auch das optionale KB4571744 installiert. Eine solch langsame, immer wieder hängen bleibende Installation hatte ich noch nie. Es hat den Build von Win 10 V 2004 auf 19041.488 angehoben. Bei der Menge von Fixes riecht es, wie so oft, nach Beta testing beim User.
Der User auf MDL sagt auch nur, wie MS, KB4570721 wurde gestern freigegeben. Es scheint ihm aber schon vorher, vielleicht mit anderer Nummer oder als Insider, bekannt gewesen zu sein. Aber ich spekuliere..

Nach lesen des Artikels habe ich auf meinem 2004 PC mal auf Updates suchen geklickt. Erhalten habe ich KB4566782 und KB4569745.
Die Build Nummer ist jetzt 19041.488

KB 4566782 wurde mir am 11.8.2020 installiert :-)
KB 4571744 wurde mir heute am 4.9.2020 installiert.
Do. für KB 4569745
installiert wurde heute Kb 4570721
Suche angestoßen und anschließend auf zwei Rechenknechten installiert. Bei beiden lief die Installation relativ zügig durch und nach den obligatorischen Neustarts sind bis dato keine Auffälligkeiten festzustellen.
Von welcher Windows 10 Version ist hier die Rede – Home oder Pro ?
Generell scheint es mir so zu sein, das die Windows Updates nicht allen Nutzern gleichzeitig angeboten werden.
Das würde auch zur Philosophie passen, das ein System ja bereit sein muss, bevor Updates installiert werden können.
Darum kann es wohl passieren, das wenn man hier im Blog etwas liest, dasselbe Update auf dem eigenen PC noch nicht angeboten wird.
Einfach abwarten kann da hilfreich sein.
Zudem scheint mir, das wer die Windows 10 Home-Version einsetzt, die Kontrolle über seinen PC weitgehend an Microsoft übergibt.
Wer das nicht möchte, müsste ein System mit Windows 10 Pro-Version kaufen.
Vielleicht müssten wir alle den Verkäufern (Geschäften) sagen wir kaufen nur ein Gerät mit Windows 10 Pro-Version oder sonst gar nicht.
So könnte man etwas mehr Kontrolle zurückgewinnen.
Meine Erfahrung ist:
Mit – "nach Updates suchen" anklicken – verliere ich jede Kontrolle.

Meines Wissens verfügen die Windows 10-Versionen über unterschiedliche Einstellungsmöglichkeiten.
Es geht erst in zweiter Linie um 1903, 1909 oder 2004.
Wer Windows 10 in Home-Version kauft, müsste wissen das er sich voll auf Microsoft verlässt
und selbst wenig bis nichts zu melden hat.
Mit einer Windows 10 Pro-Version ist man da etwas besser dran.
Das scheint mir schon ein wichtiger Unterschied zu sein.

Win 10 pro 64-Bit mit digitaler Lizenz nach Wechsel von Win 7 Enterprise.
Und ja, bei Win 10 pro kann man oft Programmen, Prozessen, Diensten Präferenzen zuweisen und die Standarteinstellung, Windows entscheiden lassen, abwählen, was bei Home in dem Umfang wohl nicht möglich ist.
Dabei habe ich auch schon mal Fehlentscheidungen getroffen, weil DAU in diesen Fällen.
Abwarten ist hilfreich, gerade bei älterer Hardware.
Dieses (oder ggf alle optionalen unter 2004?) Verhalten sich etwas merkwürdig. (wobei das Verhalten auf verschiedenen Rechnern unterschiedlich war)
Teilweise wurde nach Aktivierung des optionalen KB4571744 Updates nochmal nach Updates gesucht und "nicht Neues" angezeigt auch nicht mehr das optionale Updates vorhanden sind.
Das KB4571744 wurde dann aber scheinbar im Hintergrund doch installiert ohne den Prozess auf der Updateseite anzuzeigen.
Teilweise wurde auch noch eine .Net Preview (KB4570721) mit installiert, obwohl
dieses weder "normal" als Update anstand noch unter den freizuschaltenden optionalen Updates zuvor angezeigt wurde.
Auf einem PC wurde KB4570721 dann auch zuerst installiert, KB4571744 schlug danach fehl und konnte erst nach einem Reboot (für KB4570721) installiert werden.

auf einem Rechner funktioniert das Defender Update einwandfrei auf dem anderen muss ich es immer mit dem MS TOOL "mpam-fe.exe" aktualisieren….
Anzeige bleibt immer auf "Es wird nach Updates gesucht" stehen.
wie kann man das prüfen — hab einen nicht aktivierten Dienst im Verdacht… welche gehören alle dazu

Hatte nach Installation der beiden KB's die Meldung "ein zur Aktualisierung nötiger Dienst fehle" für die Defender Definition. Kurz imss (picon startup utility der Management engine) im Startup enabled, aktualisiert, danach wieder disabled. Seitdem kein Problem. Aber ob es wirklich daran lag?
Bezieht sich auf Windows 10 2004, ältere PCs:
Das Update KB4570721 zeigt bei meinen PCs ein seltsames Verhalten: teilweise wurden Fehler bei Windows Update angezeigt (ein Datenbankserver wurde heruntergefahren ???) , teilweise und dies nun regelmäßig passiert folgendes:
Das Update wird unter Optionale Updates angezeigt. Wenn man es installiert hat und will den PC neu starten hängt er bei "Windows wird vorbereitet …" ewig herum. Macht man dann einen brutalen Neustart tut Microsoft so als wäre nichts gewesen und installiert brav zwei neue Updates: KB4570721 und direkt vorher KB4571744.
Danach dann (warten bis alles Updates installiert sind) Neustart und alles funktioniert wieder.
Ich vermute mal, dass das Update KB4570721 zunächst fehlerbehaftet war und beim Installieren Probleme bereitet. Microsoft weiß das und bügelt bei all den PCs, wo dieses fehlerhafte Update installiert wurde einfach eine neue Version drüber.
So kann man auch Fehler verschweigen.
