Windows 10 20H2-22H2 Preview Update KB5020030 (15.11.2022)

Windows[English]Microsoft hat zum 15. November 2022 (C-Week) ein optionales, kumulatives (Vorschau-) Update KB5020030 freigegeben. Dieses soll zahlreiche Bugs in Windows 10 21H2-21H2 beseitigen. Nachfolgend gebe ich einen Überblick bezüglich dieser Updates für Windows 10.Die Informationen zu den Updates finden sich in der Windows 10 Update-History-Seite. Zu beachten ist, dass es sich bei diesen Updates um sogenannte Preview- oder Vorschau-Updates handelt. Diese sind optional und müssen standardmäßig manuell zum Download und zur Installation angestoßen werden.

Windows 10 Preview Update KB5020030

Das kumulative Preview Update KB5020030 steht für Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2, Windows 10 Education, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise Version 20H2 sowie Windows 10 Version 21H1 bis 21H2 bereit. Es hebt die Build auf 1904x.2311 an. Hier die Highlights, was behoben wurde.

  • New! The search box now appears, by default, on the taskbar when the taskbar is at the top of your screen or when you turn on small taskbar button mode. You can use the search box to discover information and search your PC and the web directly from your taskbar. To configure how search appears, right-click the taskbar of your primary monitor and hover over Search. For more information, see Learn more about search.
  • It addresses some persistent update failures for the Microsoft Store.
  • It addresses an issue that affects certain printers. The print outputs are misaligned.
  • It addresses an issue that affects daylight saving time (DST) in the Republic of Fiji. It cancels DST for 2022.

Zu erwähnen ist, dass das Suchfeld jetzt standardmäßig in der Taskleiste angezeigt wird, wenn sich die Taskleiste am oberen Rand des Bildschirms befindet oder wenn Sie den Modus für kleine Taskleistenschaltflächen aktivieren.   • It addresses some persistent update failures for the Microsoft Store.
  • It addresses an issue that affects daylight saving time (DST) in the Republic of Fiji. It cancels DST for 2022.
  • It addresses an issue that affects Microsoft Direct3D 9 (D3D9). It causes D3D9 to stop working when you use Microsoft Remote Desktop.
  • It addresses an issue that affects certain printers. The print outputs are misaligned.
  • It addresses an issue that might affect applications that run on the Windows Lock Down Policy (WLDP). They might stop working.
  • It addresses an issue that affects Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Automated investigation blocks live response investigations.

Das Update ist optional und wird nur per Windows Update angeboten, wenn der Nutzer explizit in der Einstellungen-Seite nach Updates suchen lässt und dann das optionale Update zum Download und zur Installation auswählt. Das Update lässt sich auch aus dem Microsoft Update Catalog herunterladen und installieren. Das neueste Servicing Stack Update (SSU) ist integriert.     Ich bin verwirrt.
    Ich bekomme heute ein Update und will nach Neuistart gucken was das war und sehe dieses:

    Weder habe ich ein MS-Konto noch habe ich irgendetwas in dieser Richtung installiert/aktiviert.
    Diese Meldung kommt aus dem Nichts.
    Ist das ein Bug oder habe ich was verpasst ?

    Das bekomme ich auch, wenn ich links auf Windows-Insider-Programm klicke, das ist wohl ganz normal. Da hast du wahrscheinlich versehentlich drauf geklickt.

    Ich habe mal bei anderen Rechnern geschaut.
    Deine Vermutung ist offenbnar richtig.

    Das Update ist Müll.
    Bei mir dauert die Installation erstmal ewig, also locker 1 Stunde, dann geht der Rechner mittendrin bei 20% einfach aus.

    Mehrmals probiert, auch offline mit dem .msu-Paket, immer gleiches Verhalten, keine Chance.

    Ich hab hier rel. identische Rechner, der eine hats nach Dezember Update, der andre nicht…
