Windows 11 21H2: Preview-Update KB5029332 (22. August 2023)

Windows [English]Microsoft hat zum 22. August 2023 das optionale, kumulative (Vorschau-) Update KB5029332 für Windows 11 Version 21H2 veröffentlicht. Das Preview-Update bringt eine Reihe Bugfixes für die Leute, die noch auf der Version 21H2 sind (die fällt ja im Oktober 2023 aus dem Support). Nachfolgend gebe ich einen Überblick bezüglich dieser Updates für Windows 11.Zu beachten ist, dass es sich bei diesem Update um ein sogenanntes Preview- oder Vorschau-Update handelt. Dieses ist optional und muss standardmäßig manuell zum Download und zur Installation angestoßen werden. Das Update enthält die Fixes, die im Sicherheitsupdate für den Folgemonat ausgerollt werden (spätestens zum August 2023 Patchday bekommen also alle Windows 11 21H2-Nutzer dieses Update). Preview-Update KB5029332 für Windows 11 21H2

Für Windows 11 Version 21H2 ist das Preview Update KB5029332 freigegeben worden. Das Update hebt die OS-Build auf 22000.2360 und stellt eine Fixes für diese Windows-Version bereit. Hier eine Übersicht der Highlights, die das Update bringt:

This update addresses an issue that affects the Resultant Set of Policy (RSOP). The Windows LAPS "BackupDirectory" policy setting was not being reported. This occurs when the setting is set to 1, which is "Back up to AAD."
The update addresses an issue that affects those who use Windows Update for Business. After you are asked to change your password at sign in, the change operation fails. Then you cannot sign in. The error code is 0xc000006d.

Diese Liste an Neuerungen und Fixes wird im Sicherheitsupdate für den Folgemonat integriert sein. Das Preview-Update ist optional und wird nur angeboten, wenn der Nutzer explizit in der Einstellungen-Seite optionale Updates zur Installation auswählt. Das Update wird über Windows Update angeboten, lässt sich aber auch aus dem Microsoft Update Catalog herunterladen und installieren. Das neueste Servicing Stack Update (SSU) ist integriert, um diverse Probleme zu beheben.
