Microsoft 365 und Twitter "rumpeln" (1. März 2023) – jetzt auch Exchange Online

Heute Mittag war der Blog hier kurz mal weg – die Zugriffe auf die Datenbank waren wegen Überlastung nicht durchführbar. Aber auch andernorts hat es gerumpelt – sowohl Twitter als auch Microsoft 365 hatten in diversen Regionen dieser Welt Probleme. Ergänzung: In den späten Stunden des 1. März 2023 kommt es auch zu einem Ausfall von Exchange Online.

Der Kurznachrichtendienst Twitter scheint einen Ausfall am heutigen 1. März 2023 gehabt zu haben. Ich konnte zwar bei Tests weiterhin auf mein Konto zugreifen, aber es war etwas zäh. Andere Nutzer kamen wohl nicht mehr auf die Plattform.

Unter "Twitter down" wurden mir bei einer kurzen Suche einige Tweets angezeigt, die vor 2-3 Stunden Probleme reklamierten.

Jemand hat es in obigem Tweet auf den Punkt gebracht – er hat einen Spaziergang gemacht – ist herrliches Wetter draußen. Habe ich auch am späteren Vormittag gemacht, als ich einen Umweg von 6 km von der Physiotherapie nach Hause durch den Wald gelaufen bin. Mir ist der Ausfall auch nur bewusst geworden, weil die Kollegen von Bleeping Computer in diesem Artikel berichteten.

Microsoft 365 down

Zudem scheint es einen Ausfall der Microsoft 365-Dienste – vor allem im asiatischen Raum gegeben zu haben. Auf Twitter habe ich diese Meldung gesehen. Blog-Leser Andreas P. hat mir per Mail folgende Informationen zukommen lassen (danke dafür).

    Also das letzte mal nen Ausfall bei On-Prem hatte ich vor 10 Jahren als der damalige Admin nen Fehler machte … vielleicht ca. 15min bis die Backups online waren.

    Wenn ich hier so lese wie oft da die Cloud rumzickt (plus das NoGo: meine Daten auf fremden Servern) bereue ich nix da drauf zu verzichten! ;-P

    Komm in die Cloud: sicher schnell und zuverlässig … das ich nicht lache!

      Das ist auch genau meine Gedanke – jedes mal, wenn ich derartige News lese. Schöne moderne Welt.
      Die Cloud hat definitiv ihre Vorteile. Aber ich mache den Job hier nun schon seit über 30 Jahren und hab schon die ein oder andere Datenmigration durchgeführt. Von Fat16 Laufwerken zu Novell Netware und zurück auf MS Windows Server mit NTFS, später in die Private Cloud und jetzt wandert alles zu Azure & Co. Auch Änderungen in der Art und Weiße wie wir mit Computern im Allgemeinen arbeiten ändert sich ständig. Erst waren es Terminals, dann PCs und zurück zu Terminals unter Citrix und Windows NT4.0 Terminal Server und höher. Dann hatten wir wieder PCs, dann kamen Tablets und dann wieder PCs als Terminal für die Cloud. Ich bin sehr gespannt, wie die Entwicklung in Zukunft weitergeht.
      Ich freue mich schon auf den Tag, an dem die Daten aus dem nicht mehr weiterentwickelten und abgelösten Teams von irgendwelchen Sharepoint Seiten wieder auf einem lokalen Fileserver kopiert werden sollen.

    vielen Dank für den Blogbeitrag. Wir setzen bei uns auch Exchange Online ein und haben von einem französischen Kunden die Info erhalten, dass eine E-Mail mit genau dieser Fehlermeldung „550 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied" zurückgewiesen wurde. Ich habe schon allerlei Nachforschungen angestellt und mich gefragt, warum die E-Mail nicht in der Nachrichtenablaufverfolgung sichtbar war (als ob sie nie existiert hätte), jetzt weiß ich, warum :)

    P.S. Eine Benachrichtigung über das Admin Center gab es natürlich trotz Konfiguration selbiger nicht, danke M$ :|

      Trotzdem merkwürdig. Eigentlich sollten alle Emails in der Nachrichtenablaufverfolgung im Exchange Online Admin Center enthalten sein.

        @JohnRipper Das habe ich mir auch gedacht, aber ich habe gerade noch einmal gründlich nachgeschaut, die E-Mail ist absolut nicht auffindbar… weder bei der Filterung nach Absender noch nach Empfänger (selbst dann nicht, wenn ich nach allgemeinen Fehlern von allen filtere). Witzigerweise gingen jedoch 2 weitere E-Mails vom selben Absender an einen anderen Empfänger wenige Minuten später problemlos durch, aber ich denke, das ist der Tatsache geschuldet, dass jede E-Mail über andere Gateways von M$ geroutet wird, oder habe ich da einen Denkfehler?
