Für die Windows 10 OneDrive-App hat Microsoft ein kleines Update freigegeben. In der Version 17.7 gibt es einen Bugfix, so dass Multi-File-Upload wohl endlich funktioniert. Und auch die Windows 10 Store-App wurde aktualisiert.

OneDrive-App-Update beseitigt wohl Upload-Bug
Ich weiß nicht, ob ihr die OneDrive-App unter Windows 10 verwendet. Ich nutze OneDrive vorwiegend im Browser, um Dateien an Dritte weiter zu geben. Und es gäbe noch die OneDrive-Integration im Explorer. Aber zwischenzeitlich hat Microsoft auch eine OneDrive-App für Windows 10 freigegeben.
Diese litt aber an einem Problem: Wählte man mehrere Dateien zum Upload aus, wurde nur die erste Datei hochgeladen. Na ja, wer tut sich ohne Not die OneDrive-App auch schon an? Falls doch: Mit dem Update auf die Version 17.7 kann die App auch Multi-File-Upload. Was sich sonst noch bei der App getan hat? Keine Ahnung – Microsoft bestätigt mal wieder bestens meine Vorbehalte gegenüber Apps, denn ein Changelog hält bei denen niemand für notwendig. (via, via)
Store-App aktualisiert
Auch die Store-App wurde die Tage unter Windows 10 auf die Version 2015.25.22.0 aktualisiert. Dürften wohl Bugfixes und "Stabilitätsverbesserungen" vorgenommen worden sein. In gewohnter Qualität gibt es auch hier kein Changelog – brauchen Windows 10-Anwender nicht zu wissen. MVP-Kollege Martin Geuß schreibt hier, dass er jedes Mal nachschaut, ob man endlich in der Auflistung "Meine Apps" Einträge löschen kann. Ich glaubt, er ist auch diesmal enttäuscht worden. (via, via)
Guthabenkarten für Store-Käufe
Microsoft hat in einer Mail an Entwickler wohl eine Neuerung im Hinblick auf Geschenkkarten (Guthabenkarten) bekannt gegeben. Man kann mit einer solchen XBox Prepaid-Karte im neuen Windows Store (Ab Mitte März) Apps kaufen sowie In-App-Käufe tätigen. Damit brauchen die Nutzer keine Kreditkarte für solche Einkäufe mehr, was auch Kindern oder Leuten, die einfach vorsichtig sind, entgegen kommt. Für Entwickler gibt es allerdings eine "Fee", also eine Gebühr von zusätzlich 2,24%, die auf die normalen Microsoft Gebühren drauf kommt und dem Entwickler von der Vergütung für Käufe abgezogen wird. Gift cards are now available at thousands of new retail locations and online stores in 41 markets. Windows and Xbox gift cards work interchangeably and can be used on both Windows and Xbox stores. Sales associates will promote gift cards to customers who want to give gifts, buy apps without a credit card, or fund a child's account without the worry of overspending.
With the recent expansion and because gift cards have higher costs due to packaging costs and revenue sharing with channel partners, a Commerce Expansion Adjustment will be added to app and in-app product purchases made with gift cards. The Commerce Expansion Adjustment is an additional percentage on top of the normal Store Fee (percentage of Net Receipts) that is deducted in calculating the App Proceeds payable for apps or in-app product transactions using gift cards.
The Commerce Expansion Adjustment for gift cards will take effect in specified markets in March 2016 at a rate of 2.24%. Details about how the Commerce Expansion Adjustment is calculated and deducted from App Proceeds can be found in the App Developer Agreement.
Windows Dev Center allows you to choose which markets you publish your apps and how you price them in each market. In doing so, you may want to consider if the Commerce Expansion Adjustment applies in a specific market and factor that into your market pricing strategy going forward.
