Aktuell werden für meine beiden Win 7 x64 Maschinen keine Updates angezeigt, nur das Windows-Tool zum Entfernen bösartiger Software – März 2018.
KB4088776 wird nicht installiert, Adobe Flash – Update verlangt auch nach dem 5 Neustart immer noch nach Neustart. Microsoft, ihr nervt nur noch.
Es gibt auch schon Probleme mit dem neuen Patch… der aber wohl bislang "nur" den History-Report betrifft… (werde es ja nachher merken, wenn er hier fertig ist…)
Interessanter finde ich aber, Microsoft hat ein paar Änderungen zum Patch KB4090913 (OS Build 16299.251) hier https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4090913/march5-2018kb4090913osbuild16299-251 publiziert.
Users with Windows 10 Version 1709 Enterprise that have installed the January 2018 Delta package may encounter failure issues when installing the February and March 2018 updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog. Specifically, the Windows 10, version 1709 February Delta Update may silently fail.
Microsoft is aware of this issue and has expired the following Windows 10 version 1709 Delta Update KBs on the Microsoft Catalog on March 13, 2018:
KB4056892 – January 2018
KB4074588 – February 2018
KB4088776 – March 2018
Microsoft recommends that users uninstall the Windows 10 version 1709 January KB4056892 Delta Update package and install the March 2018 full latest cumulative update, KB4088776. Customers may resume using Delta Update packages with the April 2018 Windows 10 version 1709 monthly cumulative update.
(Die haben echt Humor! Ich stelle mir gerade vor, man hat auf zig Rechnern zuvor, vielleicht ungewollt, schon die V1709 bekommen und anschließend die Delta Patche vom Januar und Februar installiert… )
Der Patch zum Check gegen böse SW brauchte ca. 25 min, um fertig zu werden. In der Zeit hat sich Chrome upgedated und kommt nach dem Restart nicht mehr ins Internet… toll!
Also den IE gestartet, funktioniert, und als nächstes fällt dann das Flash-Update mit Error 80248007 auf die Nase… uups, ob das am geöffneten IE liegt?
Nun ist auch KB4088776 durch… kann doch eigentlich noch gar nicht sein… nach 10 min? Vorher 700 MB (?) (oder doch nur 300 MB?) heruntergeladen und jetzt schon fertig? Ok, reboot…
Es ist 23:38 Uhr, mal schauen, wie lange das jetzt dauert…
wow… 23:41 Uhr … 3 min … unglaublich… und das nach ca. 1h download… Build 16299.309 wird angezeigt…
Tja, jetzt will das Flash Update tatsächlich einen Neustart haben? Ernsthaft? Ein schnödes Browser-Plug-In?
Wohl zu lange gewartet oder zu langsam beim Tippen, es wird schon wieder nach Updates gesucht… und was wird gefunden, das Flash Update und erneut heruntergeladen… WARUM? Ist doch schon da!!!
Mmh… fertig mit download, gefühlt ca. 3s für die Installation, fertig, kein Reboot nötig… ?!? Der Verlauf zeigt, "Erfolgreich installiert am 13.03.2018", das soll jemand verstehen…
(Es gibt Zeiten, da wünsche ich mir Windows 3.11 zurück…)
Bevor hier jetzt Neid aufkommt, ich habe hier keine Mega-Hyper-Duper-Gaming Maschine am Start!
Es ist ein über 7 (!) Jahre alter Dell Precision T3400 mit 8GB RAM und einer inzwischen zwei Jahre alten Samsung EVO 850!
Mein Internet-Zugang ist mit der gigantischen Bandbreite von 4.5 Mbit, in absoluten Spitzenzeiten um 3 Uhr Nachts auch schon mal 5.1 Mbit gesegnet!
Das war in jedem Fall eines der schnelleren Updates…
Ach ja, Chrome tut auch wieder… (Heute ist der 30. Pi-Tag?!?)
